Introducing the notNeutral Artist Series

We teamed up with five talented artists working in Los Angeles to bring you a series of limited-edition Lino mugs this holiday season. All proceeds from the notNeutral Artist Series will be donated to two local non-profits dedicated to making participation in the arts accessible to all: Inner-City Arts, and Portraits of Hope.

Aaron Kai

Aaron is known around the world for his colorful, large-scale murals inspired by pop culture and childhood memories of surfing in his native Hilo, Hawai’i. His Lino mug design is based on the mural he painted in the studio we share with RIOS.

Ben Medansky

Ben is world-renowned for his sculptures and large-scale installations, and we were thrilled to have him as a part of this project. He hand-painted a small run of locally made stoneware Lino mugs in his signature cobalt blue. Each mug was hand-painted and signed by Ben Medanksy.

Heather Levine

Heather is best known for her stunning ceramic wall hangings and light installations, and we were so fortunate to have her contribute to this project.

She created four unique colorways for our Artist Series. Each piece was glazed by hand and will exhibit unique natural variations. This collection is a limited edition!

Studio Number One

This limited-edition Lino mug was designed for our Artist Series by Studio Number One, a Los Angeles-based creative Agency founded by Amanda and Shepard Fairey.

Studio Number One’s design is inspired by vintage protest art. 2020 will go down as a turning point in the world and culture, and these mugs will serve as a tranquil reminder to drink in the hope of the future. The colors and composition promote peace across all political lines and encourage the country to come together.

Ed Massey

The final mug in our Artist Series was designed by world-renowned artist and Portraits of Hope co-founder Ed Massey.

Portraits of Hope projects have involved tens of thousands of disadvantaged youth in high-profile civic collaborations that have spectacularly transformed everything from airplanes, buildings, and the New York City taxi fleet to blimps, tugboats, and NASCAR racecars (and now, a Lino cup!)

All proceeds from the notNeutral Artist Series will be donated to Portraits of Hope and Inner-City Arts.
